We use high-accuracy sensors and an accelerometer to measure the position of the foot 200 times a second. These measurements, combined with a deep understanding of run/walk biomechanics, enables us to build sophisticated algorithms around our measurements. We are always working to improve accuracy and user experience.
When you sync, our custom algorithms crunch these numbers and output the data in the usable form you see in the App. The algorithms also take into account your height, weight and shoe model. Height, weight and shoe type are needed to calculate things like rate of impact and stride length.
